2008 Afghan Book by VFW Post 8862

Mr Steve Brown, director of the post library offered the VFW more than 30 boxes for the book drive. Te attached photos are of VFW members, Ron Reynolds on the right, Steve Brown center and Richard Hendrickson left. Also Freddy Class-Castro a member and employee of the Official Mail Facility made it easy by receiving and labeling all the boxes on site. The 30 boxes of new paper back books are now on the way to the 173d Airborne War Fighter. Our VFW has more than 1200 members and most are in the "HERD". They are the strength of our post and we do all that is within our power to do for them.
